St Brigid’s Catholic Church
In 2016 KSDesigns completed a major refurbishment of St Brigid’s Parish church in Mordialloc. Again working in conjunction with Meaden Architecture and Designs, completely new Audio and Video systems were custom designed to meet the current and future needs of the congregation.
The consultation process took nearly two years. During this period the product selection was refined many times. Installation was completed during the architectural refurbishment.
Highly intelligible audio reproduction is handled by two highly directional column speakers from d&b Audiotechnik. Digital amplification from d&b Audiotechnik provides system power and all necessary processing.
High quality condenser microphones from Beyer Dynamic capture audio signals from the Altar, Lectern and Choir, and radio microphones allows flexibility for Clergy.
A Yamaha digital mixing console controls audio levels from within a hidden equipment rack. Multiple system memories provide operators access to a library of different set up configurations programmed by KSDesigns.
The digital mixer and processing amplifiers provide a very short and powerful audio signal path. The result is extremely transparent and high quality audio heard identically at every seat in the church.
Video is elegantly displayed on two fixed screens. Two short throw Wolf Cinema Full HD projectors provide high quality video images.
The screens are housed in custom designed steel work on either side of the Sanctuary that also attaches to the speakers.
HD BaseT video sending equipment is utilised to ensure the integrity of the video signal is maintained at the highest possible quality.
